Submission Guidelines - PYMINDS International Journal

Submission Guidelines

Follow our guidelines to submit your original work to PYMINDS, ensuring ethical AI use and academic integrity in Science, Arts, and Commerce.

PYMINDS: International Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies is an open-access, peer-reviewed, biannual e-journal published by Dhvani Publication. We invite students to submit original research, projects, and creative works in Science, Arts, and Commerce. Review the guidelines below, including our AI Usage Policy and Plagiarism Policy, to ensure your submission meets our standards.

Manuscript Types:

  • Research Projects: Experiments, surveys, or studies (2,000-5,000 words)
  • Essays: Analytical or argumentative pieces (1,500-3,000 words)
  • Creative Works: Stories, poems, or artwork with a short commentary (500-2,000 words)
  • Case Studies: Practical applications in business or science (2,000-4,000 words)
  • Reviews: Book, film, or product reviews (1,000-2,000 words)

Language and Style:

Write in clear, simple English suitable for student authors. Use APA style for citations and references, listed alphabetically, as outlined in our Plagiarism Policy.

AI Usage Disclosure:

Include a section in your manuscript noting any AI tools used (e.g., Grammarly, ChatGPT), specifying their role, as per our AI Usage Policy.

Formatting:

Download the PYMINDS Template for formatting.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1-inch margins
  • Double-spaced with page numbers
  • Include a title page with your name, email, submission title, and AI disclosure statement

Figures and Tables:

  • Submit images separately (JPEG/PNG, high resolution)
  • Include captions for all visuals

Originality:

Ensure your work is original. All submissions are checked for plagiarism using tools like Turnitin, per our Plagiarism Policy.

How to Submit:

Submit via the online submission form. Other methods are not accepted.

Submission Checklist:

Required:

  • Manuscript file (DOCX/PDF) with AI disclosure statement
  • Citations and references in APA format
  • Confirmation of plagiarism check compliance (per Plagiarism Policy)

Optional:

  • Cover letter explaining your work
  • List of suggested reviewers (if applicable)

Review Method:

Submissions are reviewed by faculty or experts to ensure quality, relevance, and compliance with our AI Usage Policy and Plagiarism Policy.

Timeline:

  • Initial feedback: 4-6 weeks
  • Revisions: 2-4 weeks
  • Final decision: 8-10 weeks from submission

Originality:

Your work must be original and comply with our Plagiarism Policy. We use tools like Turnitin to verify authenticity.

AI Usage:

All AI tool usage must be disclosed and adhere to our AI Usage Policy. Failure to disclose may result in rejection.

Conflicts of Interest:

Mention any conflicts in your cover letter.

Consent:

Obtain consent for projects involving people or sensitive topics.

Copyright:

You retain copyright but allow PYMINDS to publish under a Creative Commons license.

Open Access:

All content is freely accessible to promote student research globally.

Article Processing Charge (APC):

No submission fees are required. Accepted papers incur an APC to support publication.

Amount:

₹1000 for Indian students, $20 for international students, payable via the dashboard’s "Pay APC" button after acceptance.

Purpose:

The APC covers hosting, editing, formatting, DOI registration, and archiving. Thank you for contributing to PYMINDS!

Post-Acceptance:

Accepted works are edited, formatted, and proofread for publication, ensuring compliance with AI Usage Policy and Plagiarism Policy.

Schedule and DOI:

PYMINDS publishes biannually, assigning a DOI to each piece for citation.
